gee kay
Oh, for fucks sake, I love this song. The energy, the backing vocals, the sound of the guitar, the build up to where he says '' Ok Smile Away quietly now'' and then the explosion when he says ''Smile Away horribly now'', when the vocals, bass, drums, guitar and backing vocals all kick in with such a wonderful raw force. Blows me away every time. How many great tracks has this man been involved in over the years, he deserves the great life he's had because he's given untold pleasure through his music. Top man.

Love this song- like all Paul's songs, the bass is a strong presence- unlike too many songs where you cant even hear it, and doubt that they even used it. Paul loves his instrument.

I've long considered "Smile Away" to be one of the best songs Paul ever wrote. Pure, raw Rock'N'Roll at its best.
