Epiphone Casino.....John. Paul & George all got them from Epiphone for endorsement. John strpped the finish off his because he thought bare wood would make it sound better, we all heard that story, right?

@Duff Baker, If you listen carefully, you can hear that it's two guitars. It's also backed in a couple books that it was a duet. George also said that Paul played the lead (Paul even has played slide during his solo years). George played the riff that is doubled on bass during the backing track but played the intro and solos.

From the camera's angle, Paul resembles and sounds like his 1966 self. Wow!

So, Lennon and Harrison took delivery of their '64 Casinos in 1965? If so, that must be the reason Epiphone claims they were '65 Casinos, which is mis-leading. They should know better, for authenticity's sake. Go figure, eh?

Always had thought that was George playing the lead on Drive My Car (slide?). The backwards solo on I'm Only Sleeping a duet? I knew McCartney and Harrison dueted in unison on AYBCS but not on I'm Only Sleeping. I believe that's George alone on that one.

Uhhmmm, if you did your research, you'd know he played the riff. He played lead a lot during this period like on Ticket to Ride, Drive My Car, And Your Bird Can Sing and I'm Only Sleeping in duet with George, and Another Girl.

Ricks are real nice too, but they have such skinny necks and I have such huge fingers...

The original is almost Metal Guitar with that riff. The other thing is that Paul plays a dazzling Bassline in that original. Great show, thanks for posting.

Epiphone's okay, but I still prefer Gibsons. I had a 335 a while back (sad to say that I sold it) and I'm trying (very) to save up to get an L5 or Super 400.
