Nataly’s Corner jumps into the Hardcastle Zone and welcomes back the music of Kiss the Sky: Hardcastlemusic fans in America can’t forget when the “Kiss the Sky” album graced our shores with its smooth melodic music. We knew that we were in for a treat if the music was produced by Paul Hardastle. However, what we didn’t know, at the time, is who the lead singer was providing those amazing vocals on the album tracks. I’ve always complimented Paul for his creativity and musical geniuosity in carefully choosing the right vocalist for his music. His collaboration with singer Jaki Graham is an example of that creativity. Every lead vocalist, whether it’s Jaki Graham, Helen Rogers, Becki Biggins, or his daughter Maxine seems to musically fit the project in which they provide their vocals.

Lovely songstress Jaki Graham hails from Birmingham, England. She initially started her music career singing vocals with various bands in England before venturing into a solo career. Jaki’s career started to jump after she collaborated with former Linx vocalist David Grant on two songs, of which one of the songs, a version of “Could It Be I’m Falling in Love” reached #5 on the charts. Between 1985 and 2012, Jaki released several of her own hit singles and albums. In 1994, her cover version of the song “Ain’t Nobody” reached #1 on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play. On October 3, 2012, Jaki was honored with her own star on Birmingham’s Broad Street “Walk of Stars”. Today Jaki is very much still in her groove and continues to focus on her singing career. Ha! I can assure you that Hardcastlemusic Fans would be pleased if she and Paul were to collaborate on another Kiss the Sky project.
