The 70's were such a more simpler time without the worries of today's complicated world. My parents never even locked the car doors. Leaving Vietnam aside, the decade is a beautiful memory for me. Real music from real musicians who composed their own songs and wrote the lyrics.

The late Dr. Ralph Poteet used to introduce solid gold songs such as this on Mesquite Schools Radio. In a loud and clear voice Dr. Poteet's jingle went (Your listening to Mesquite Schools Radio 88.5 Fm KEOM Mesquite Texas!)

Well folks, this is talent...plain and simple. Our kids will never experience the thrill of calling our favorite radio station and requesting a song, then waiting with anticipation for it to come on. The good old days indeed.
