The sad part is that a LOT of people including me would love to hear this kind of music ( Yes,...this is actual music ) on the radio and TV nowadays, but he wouldn't have a chance simply because he has no grille, no piercings in his face, he's not an ex-gangster, he's not arrested constantly for drugs, alcohol, dog fighting, assaulting people, and GOD forbid he can sing without mixing boards and crap to make him sound good. How dare this guy actually have talent! Geez......sad but true nowadays.

WOW! I remember him. I played in a club on Merrimon Ave. called the Derby and Steve played at a club across town. Frankie Robbins one of Paul's drummers and I are from the same town and his band "Flatrock" and our band played a lot of club dates together. I really enjoyed watching Steve play. LOTS of good memories! He may remember my brother and I owned a music store in Asheville on Merrimon Ave.

I love that I can enjoy this song by watching the performance on youtube. I didn't know what Paul Davis looked like until seeing him here. He has a tender look in his eyes. Romantic and caring make for an emotionally authentic singer/songwriter. (I love the long hair. Glad he let his grow).
