@Timwgtn,Do you mean "Lovely City (When Do You Laugh)?"I've never heard of a Stevens song called "Lonely City."No, the Cat man told me years ago that he had nothing todo with any of the orchestral arrangements/production on any of hisexcellent 1960s Pop songs nor on this one. This was, however,arranged by the very same folks who arranged Stevens' earlysongs plus was performed by the same Decca orchestra whoperformed on the Stevens songs as well. That's why it soundslike Stevens' songs from that same period.

@ warwickwas, I used to have an MP3 of the original version with Cat Stevens singing it. It was even BETTER than Paul and Barry Ryan's version here!

Hello Tim, As a Cat Stevens fan (Particularily the 60's 'Lovely City; etc) I remember hearing this and before knowing who had written it, I had said that this was as close to Cat Stevens as possible. I was right. Wouldn't it be interesting to find Cat singing it?
