Thank you God for Patti Smith and all other artists and honest realistic people that can sing, say, yell, write NIGGER. Of course the song is not professing how cool being a racist, bigot, or whatever awful trait some have. These days everyone is so damn afraid of offending a person's delicate nature....I saw FUCK IT!!!! Jimi Hendrix kicked ass. Jazz musicians from the 1900's helped music evolve into many genres. I have a Mother Goose Nursery Rhyme book dated 1890 with the well known "Ten Little Indians" however in my version it is "Ten Little Niggers" and each illustration depicts a child getting dismembered. I say embrace the past, embrace the ugliness so the future generations don't water the past down and repeat it. (Sorry....I have a bad habit of rambling)
