The electronics didn't do Patsy's voice justice. The HiFi of the 60's was the best electronics ever made for music. And Patsy Cline has the best voice I've ever heard, clear as a bell.

I am a copas as well! My grandparents along with my dad and his 8 brothers and sisters are from lynx (right before blue creek) I remember my papaw talking about cowboy copas. My dad has his belt buckle with copas engraved on that has been passed down. Cowboy copas was someone my papaw spoke very proud of. And I think the last name copas generates from England with a bit of Scottish. But I do know we also have a strong heritage of native american in our bloodline. Some members of our family has recieved scholarships from it so the line must be thick. Very cool to see distant relatives commenting!

What struck me the first time I saw her in a video was how relaxed and at ease she seems. She was a gifted natural on the order of Johnny Cash in that respect.

This on the Ozark show which was called "Jubilee USA" that year. Anyway, the date of this performance is June 4, 1960.

@jt20042 I love the growl, also when she does her hiccup. growls are kind of easy, but hiccuping isn't.

I'm pretty sure this guy is my cousin.. or so what my grandpa told me, Carl Copas. Carl's mom and dad, Anna and Delmis, didn't like Lloyd's music about drinking and such so I have little information about Cowboy Copas.

Labaron, Valens, Holly, and the Big Bopper died in 1959. Cline, Coppas, and Hawkins died in 1963. Valuable were these to their respective genres!

@teddyboyward ....Also, Hawkshaw Hawkins, another Country Western great....All three died in the same plane that crashed that day......Strange....that years later another group of three would also die in a plane crash...Buddy Holly, Rickie Valens, and The Big Bopper.....very strange and sad....
