True, Pat's 80's out put was a mixed bag, but this song is pure Pat Travers genius! Love "Heat In The Street" album, but "Putting It Straight" is my favorite Pat Travers album, then followed by "Makin' Magic," not even to mention the killer, "Go For What You Know." :=)

F' It I have the preamp now so I will put I Don't Want to be Awake on when I can. The stereo is a ways away. This is all vinyl in my house. It should be that way. I was playing Machine Head (Deep Purple) for my painter and he quizzically ask, "Is this an album, you know record?". LOL
