PSA to everybody here:The band hates this performance. Well. Actually. They love it, but only because it's hilariously awkward and one of the worst performances they've ever done. Like. They did another KEXP show in 2012 and Michael said (paraphrased) "the last time we played at KEXP it was possibly the most awkward thing we've ever done."So yeah. Don't judge them or their live shows based on this please. Watch their live stuff on Letterman on their VEVO channel, it's fantastic.

Actually, they have some very good live performances. This one, I admit, is not the best they can do. All in all, they are decent as a live band, whether live or not, they're still my favorite band.

I've only seen two videos of their live performances so far, but based on that, it sounds pretty terrible and comical. His voice on the record is awesome, sounds great, but live it sounds kind of like a dying cat. Still this video has a considerable amount of likes and few not too many dislikes. Kinda gives me a little courage to know that you don't necessarily have to be a great, consistent performer in order for listeners to still enjoy the music... Definitely varies depending on the genre and audience, but either way. It is a great song though, and their other music that I've heard is fun and extremely catchy.

Nahh thats just Michael Angelakos' Voice. Looking at the date he might or might not have been going through one of his major bouts of Bipolarism which all his songs are kinda based on. The Manic drum beats coupled with some of the somber lyrics in his other songs reflect him and so does his singing in those songs, its manic and it can be all over the place.
