The pure ignorance taking place in Ferguson is AN ABSOLUTE SHAME!!!!!!!! IN RELATION TO SAID IGNORANCE ... I'M REMINDED OF BROTHER MALCOLM X AND THE BROTHER PARIS ... NEITHER OF WHOM WERE OR ARE IGNORANT IN THEIR ENLIGHTENMENT, KNOWLEDGE AND HIGHER EDUCATION ... PARIS SAYS IN HIS RAP ... BREAK THE GRIP OF SHAME ... QUOTE ... "ENTER INTO A NEW REALM ... A NEW DIMENSION ... PAY CLOSE ATTENTION... AND WITNESS KNOWLEDGE BORN ON THE MICROPHONE ... FOR THE PEOPLE THAT I CALL MY OWN ... " --RAPPER PARIS

One of the hardest lps of its era, or any for that matter. Funny, how Paris was bought out by the powers-that-be as well; similar to how Cube, Common, Latifah, and Mos Def were bought out. Bro became a millionaire stock broker. I liken that move to the scene in "I'm gonna get you sucker," when they went to take over the government building; he said that "the brothers went in with guns, and came out with jobs." LMBO

+El Manyacko "This dat real nigga shit that white people did want yall to know about"Interesting you say that. Because I think conscious/Afrocentric rap went into a decline once it crossed over. It crossed over through Arrested Development and to a lesser extent Public Enemy. Once AD and PE got more mainstream(white) acceptance that type of music lost some of it's edge. It was no longer as "threatening" so it lost some of it's appeal and got kinda played. I think Afrocentric hip hop both peaked and declined with Arrested Development.
