I think whats trying to be said here from the failure perspective, (despite how it comes across lol), is that you shouldn't disregard where music comes from. "who cares what the original is"... Look at George Thorogood, he made millions from covering "Who do you love?" (and I bet you didn't even know that was a cover). Covers, whether you like them or not have a very important value within the music scene. In this case, Hayley being a big Failure fan decided to cover one of their most successful songs. You might like it, or you might not... but look at it this way, without Failure (or any band to any striving musician) Hayley would be missing inspiration. Failure drove her to professionally record a cover, think about that! Covering a song that you loved so much, that's the feeling that truly exists with that action, love for the music! So don't neglect the roots of music, and try and see things from a bigger picture. Because, if it weren't for Failure, you wouldn't have this song period!
