Seriously people are arguing about this... Funny. Now I'm 80 percent german and I'm going to shed some light on this subject. In WW2 allies as a whole won together, it was never one nation or army. With that out of the way lets get down to those who say "Russia won WW2", ha I laugh at that statement. Russia was getting the shit kicked out of them with a terrible 7-9 loss for every 1 enemy killed. Without aid from the US I'm afraid to say to all you Russia lovers that your precious Moscow and motherland would be nothing but dust. Did Russia contribute yes but let's get real, so for all you die hard Russians out there you need to shut it. Now as for US, UK, and all other allied nations, I'm not saying they won by themselves, but there was this thing called the western front and war in pacific and other parts of the ocean and world... So yea. As a whole allied vs axis the ratio just counting Germany is 7 to 1, good job die hards my hats off to you. Basically without counting japan allies were being butchered. Even counting Japan the ratio is 3 to 1, face it axis was the better army and we all know it. Allied nations won with numbers not skill, this can be compared to the battle of thermopile and the 300. So yes a wins a win but not every win is a good win. Now on to modern times. America, going through a little depression, still very strong militarily, economically, and socially. Has the strongest military in the world overall, and the best air force, and navy. Germany, considered to be tied for second best military has the strongest ground forces(tanks, infantry, artillery and so on). It also is not far behind the US with its air force, but lacks naval power( good ships but not enough of them). They have a great economy, military and social standing. Russia, people are scared to speak up about what they want, an O.K. Economy, good social standing but not respected, and a military that is ranked the worlds 3rd or 4th most powerful. They don't even militarily excel at anything. So going back to the original question, do you die hard Russians still believe you won WW2, and that you are as strong as you think you are? Finally for those who get mad that a german is telling them the truth and not allowing them to lie please comment I would love to see how dumb you make yourself look. LOL.
