If you ask me, Joey Culver should've stayed as Atomship's singer, and Derek as the bassist/main songwriter. Makes a lot more sense than what they do now.

@rockinassassin fair play I don't like joey's voice on this i thought atomship was legit, but when i found out joey didn't write any of it i was kinda bumbed and i like Derek's stuff better he's got some acustic songs up on his youtube channel that are pretty sick!

@BDean97 Are you kidding? Haha. Joey has no emotion in his voice when he sings the songs Derek's written. Derek you actually FEEL what he's singing, it's beautiful. The only reason it may seem like Joey's singing is better is because a lot of the older watership down recordings with Derek singing weren't very high quality so it didn't do justice for his voice. Hell, Derek sat there and TRAINED joey how to sound like him. Derek is by far a more talented artist and singer. I do like both though.

@rockinassassin nice knowlege and personal isssues -___- everyones got problems. Honestly Derek was a beast as a lyricist, but Joey has him beat on singing at least if you compare joey on the album to the demos.

@BDean97 Yes Derek Pardoe was the original lead singer then Derek had Joey take his place because Derek had personal issues. When Joey took his place they became Atomship. Then Atomship Down, then the original vocalist Derek came back, sadly Nathan Slade the original lead guitarist is dead though. And now they are known as Watership Down once again.

@rockinassassin nahh atomship didn't have the original vocalist of the band not sure what happend, but he wrote all the lyrics then the new vocalist came in which is who you hear on the album the crash of 47' and he pretty much ruined the band and he can't write which is why they fell apart and reformed again under watership down with the original vocalist. this band also broke up because the vocalist can't write. He is now playing bar shows doing cover songs

@BDean97 Watership Down was reformed again in 2010, don't know if they're still together, but Watership Down was the original name of Atomship, before it was changed to that, then it was Atomship Down, and in 2010 was chagned back to Watership Down. :) And I agree, WAY BETTER than this band. So much better. All these people would be blown away if they'd take the time to hear the old stuff.
