nice daring attempt at a fine song but somehow lacks the bright colors of the original. then again how many people have the brilliant vocal and mental qualities of a winwood. a good tribute

Amazed by the negativity. Did Traffic ever perform this live? How many musicians would you need? Trust PW to put together this incredibly faithful rendition nearly 40 years on. Be thankful and enjoy it, like I just have.

I'm a bit shocked actually. The weird fake-American accent is way more pronounced than Steve Winwood who was famed for being the 15 year old kid who sounded like an old black American blues artist. On the Traffic "Paper Sun" single, Winwood sounds very British. What on earth is Weller thinking?

nice job. most people have to transpose this because it's rare for anyone to be able to sing as high and powerful as winwood. or write such a fine song. like many other traffic covers, many people don't know who originally created it
