i did say this a year ago, and I you know, from my standpoint, me a year ago was a bit ignorant. Nevertheless, it's a little bit funny. I'm not saying it's wrong, I'm just saying it's ironic. That's all. From my standpoint anyway. It was about the lyrics anyway, the instrumentation has no affiliation with any kind of metal at all. It was about the lyrics and the stereotypes. THAT'S why it was funny.

I think it's a rather outdated and ignorant standpoint to consider metal as a whole to have any religious alignment. Sure, black metal definitely has roots in anti-theism but distorted guitars, complex melodies, harsh vocals and fast drums have no allegiance to "satan".

Why should the devil have all the good music? Religious people who claim that the 'music' is what's satanic, are just making up their own human judgements. Jesus rebuked the most 'religious' people on earth, the pharisees: Matthew 12:34 Brood of vipers! How can you, being evil, speak good things?

I'm sorry to say, but Christian progressive death metal?? It's a new one on me. Seems silly to me, mixing god up with what most religious people I've met consider to be "satan's work". Maybe not silly, but definitely has some irony involved!
