I remember hearing this song in the early 70's as a kid...I thought it was the Beatles. I figured Ringo was doing the chorus. for some reason I was thinking of this song a few days ago...then it came on Stingray (70's) 5 minutes ago! So, good to hear the song again..and better to know what the name of it is!!!

This song was actually played regularly on Toronto radio stations all through the 70's and eighties, and I always loved it. But Jesus, until about 5 years ago, I thought is was classic Paul McCartney and Wings, I had no idea it was Pagliaro, as a music buff and fan, I feel ashamed.

Canada-we had incredible music in the 70's ...While searching for these old songs, I come across many comments about how so many great Canadian bands never made it big in the U.S. Canadian acts were just as good, hell, better than the U.S. But hey let's just keep them as our own treasure; Canadians know talent when they hear it!!Pagliaro, Doucette, Edward Bear, April Wine, Stampeders, Prism, etc. too many to list!! Love this country!!

Pagliaro's arrangements were amazing. This stuff sounds like Phil Spector produced it. Big big big sound. Really beautiful. Wall of sound.

CKLW hell yes!!! Best A.M. station ever. Rock, pop, soul, hits on both sides of the border, and they were the first to play a lot of hits-to-be. And you could hear them for hundreds of miles. "Blue Collar", "Love The Poor Boy", "Daytime Nighttime", "Walkin' On Back" ... stuff you just couldn't hear on American stations. The early '70's were truly a heyday for Beatle-flavored pop.Anyway, this is another great single; the chorus stuck in my head for decades before I figured out who did it. I'd love to buy a copy.... but since those are scarce, THANK YOU for posting!

In response to Jeffery, "Lovin' You Ain't Easy" and "What the Hell I Got" are my favorite Pagliaro songs but this objectively speaking, this song is his best.

It does have a strong Beatlish feel to it.
