This song in many ways reminds me of the relationship I had with my mother. During my preteen and teen years, my mother was a terrible drug addict. She married an asshole and often justified his wrongful actions by saying he raised me since I was 2. However that was no excuse for beating, screaming his head off an threatening me. In those years I had a love/hate relationship with my mother. She died 12 years ago I gave her complete forgiveness as a final gift. Being one of her few children, my mother wasn't an easy woman to love. But I loved her anyway because it was my divine duty as her son.
