My husband, my 15 year old daughter and I all just discovered Over the Rhine. A couple at our church sang the song Born at a talent show. Everyone at the talent show (and we had a crowded house that night) fell in love with the song Born. That night, I learned who originally sang the song Born. I came home and looked up Over the Rhine. What fantastic music. My teenager is telling all her friends about them and so far, everyone likes! I hope to see OtR one day.

I think OtR deserves to make it big however, in a selfish way I'm glad they aren't big. It is so fantastic to see them in small venues sitting close to the stage. I saw them open for Ani DiFranco in Pittsburgh 4 years ago and I immediately when to the lobby and bought every cd there. I've been a fan ever since. What fantastic voices & people!

I never even heard of this group 'til I saw "the Open Road". How is that even possible! The music industry geniouses must be asleep at the wheel...I guess they're busy with lady gaga. How sad for the rest of us looking for some music that REALLY touches us! I can only hope that OTR finds their due success in spite of these morons. Thank god for hollywood!
