Of course everyone has their own taste. And how do we establish these tastes? Comparing! Judging his the way we as people decide what tastes better, looks better, and sounds better. It's easy for me to say a rapper sucks when analyzing their work, and it's even easier to say one is better than the other once I place them together and analyze. If you believe that two people can't be judged, then you're just underselling your ability to analyze. Either that, or you don't have one.

One, people compare them because people compare all the time. And, you can decide which one is better by comparing, as that is how we as people decide on most everything. The "two different styles" doesn't matter because they're in the same genre, which is the same style. How you do it doesn't make something so different that it can't be judged next something else when it's in the same genre. In fact, if it's done differently, it makes it easier to actually pay attention to the quality.

But, they still rap. The only time you can say that two people can't be compared is when they're in two different genres. Because both rap however, you can compare their lyrics, their flow, the substance to their content, and so on. Those are things you typically can't do with two different genres, but you very well can do it when two people are in the same genre.

Oh come on!!!! Read a book called HOW TO RAP-the art and science of a hip hop mc....then you might understand that there are many different styles in putting your lyrics to the beat and so on....

How do you say Jay-Z and Outkast are different styles when they both rap? I see if one was R&B or one was country, but that's a crazy statement to say they're different styles. If they talk about different things, that just means they talk about different things, but their styles are the same.
