Thanks for posting this song. Reminds me of skating backwards with my girlfriend back in Detroit. During the fifties and sixty's neighborhood skating rinks and basement parities with great music was laced throughout our neighborhoods. I feel blessed to have lived back in Detroit during those years listening to great music. I don't look at Detroit the way it is...I look at the way it can be.

Frankie's on the top of the heap; always was, right from the rip. The voice, the delivery, the showmanship, the sell, all of it. None better...ever.

This song could have been Frankie's epitaph. Heroin will put you out in the cold permanently. What an effen shame he sunk into that pit. One of the greatest voices from the golden era of rock silenced prematurely. Michael Jackson could only look back on Frankie with envy but he couldn't hold a candle to him. Neither could anyone else.

I've been looking for this for so long. I remember hearing it in Why Do Fools Fall In Love when Zola kicks Frankie out, I could never find the title to it though.

How could America let a giant like this slink into drugs, oblivion and then death. I still mourn Mr. Lymon. The movie did him no justice. This young man had a beautiful, GIANT voice. RIP guy. I remember when you passed in 1968.
