This song is played on a 7 string that has yuebstandard 6 strings tuned to E standard and a heavy bottom string tuned down to A and played like bar chords in drop tuning. So on a six string you really can down tune to any tuning to play it as long as it's a drop tuning. It'll never sound the same and you'll just have to deal with it. Or get a 7 string.
