I would say that they are probably not Christians based on this song. This song seems to be a bit of a diatribe against the God that they perceive as cruel to allow a young child to suffer from a terminal illness. While I can sympathise with their frustration, as a Christian I appreciate their honesty in addressing one of the difficult realities of a world in need of saving. I come to the conclusion that the only hope we HAVE is God, but I respect that that's not where they're at.

It was probably 99-00. If you look, there is a "Happiness" backdrop behind them. There is also the fish from the cover behind some of the crowd.

has to be before 2002, since original guitarist Mike Turner is playing with them, i believe he left somewhere in '01...so between '97-'01 for time frame of this performance by my guestimation....not much to go on, but that's the time span

Infact in a couple of their songs, going by the lyrics, they actually reject god.

I've been a huge OLP fan since they got their American debut in 1997 and I've given a fair amount of thought to Raine's religious references in some songs. They seem to be Christian-related, but they seem to be about being upset with God. The line "I don't want to hear who walked on water" is likely Raine saying he doesn't find any redemption within religion when a young child is killed. However, he's the only one who knows.

@CWilczewski they got there name from the poem Our Lady Peace by Mark Van Doren each member had read the poem and had a different interpretation of it, thats why they chose it cause it resembled how they thought people would think of their music

@Zurby I'm actually quite certain they got it from the school they went to in Toronto "Our Lady Of Peace"

@TheRaider52 - They got the name from a poem. I wouldn't look at their song as religious - Raine Maida isn't exactly the most religious guy in the world
