Pretty bad singing and the guitar work isn't especially impressive either. I don't understand at all - how an actual Elliott Smith fan could prefer this over his work.

@IndusBlitz People criticize them for that? I honestly didn't really think much of the first album, but I've come to like it more over time. My favorite album is still Free, but I think my favorite song would have to be The Escape Artist. That second verse packs a punch.

Hm. Great cover. Not my style (too many voice effects), but it was a very good interpretation. The great thing about the original was the bare sound of Elliott's voice when he hit those high notes. This is a tad too synthesized but it's good nonetheless. *Thumbs up*
