Guide us LORD in the direction, whatever your heart desire to lead us. Because we live through you LORD although we may not show it, but we need you.

This is something I have always failed to understand:Most Christian denominations that I have heard of have a very fundamentalist viewpoint on the Bible. They believe and teach that every part of the Bible is true and actually happened, when several parts of it contradict itself. They also will sometimes be hypocritical, such as not making deals with God, then praying to God in exchange for something. Now, I am not very religious, and I wish to use this as a learning experience as well. So, my question is, how is fundamentalism not viewed as hypocritical by those who practice it, and how can someone thinking about converting change to this way of thinking? I do not have my own opinion on this, as I wish to find out from those raised in a more religious setting what they think.(song showing hypocriscy I was talking about)
