You analysis of the title misses the entire essence of this piece. Fragile does not capture La Femme Accident. She is not fragile but an emotional leech...a drain. She is paradise..FOR A DAY. In other words...A ONE NIGHT STAND...not serious marrage material. It is a Hate Poem with some beautiful music to make the message consumable. Instead of a Love song it is just a pretty little Hate song. Get it?!?.

I'm French and I'm a huge fan of new wave and, of course, I like OMD. But "La femme accident" means absolutely nothing in French !!! Accident is for cars. You must say : "La femme fragile", or something like that. Even Adam Ant ("Young Parisians" or "Ant rap") and Blondie ("Rapture") have written French lyrics with a lot of non-sense. Only Visage can have 20/20 with "Fade to grey". Blondie takes the biscuit : the French passage in "Rapture" is pure invention.
