It's not a 'terrible' cover, it just doesn't fit. The original Bela Lugosi's Dead is supposed to have a minimalist beat with sudden strikes of noises. It makes the song feels like the dark, where small sounds can suddenly give a sense of danger. This song relies more on the romantic vampire style, with the organ and piano, and the sound is way too over the top for a minimalist yet dangerous feels of the original.

This is the only song on the Black Opera I can listen to anymore, since it scared the everloving fuck out of me when I read her lyrics and realized she was conducting a ceremony to usurp Lucifer's powers and whatnot. Dark as fuck, and beautifully heavy, but I'd like to stay away from the devil for a while. Dude's a cunt.
