i love this movie,however I can't believe that you would consider Johnnie a "savior'to Frankie.She didn't need one.

My favorite actor and my favorite actress. Quite frankly, I love this movie more than Scarface. I can't stress enough how much I love and admire these two angels. Michelle Pfeiffer was criticized as being far too beautiful for this role. Indeed, I think people see that without make up, she is all the more beautiful. Yet, there's no denial to her work in this film. This is a very underrated, yet one of the best performances of Pfeiffer ever. And Al Pacino is as great as ever!

たしか、出所した男がコックの仕事にありついた。男の名はジョニー。ウェイトレスの名がフランキー。フランキー&ジョニーっていう有名な歌があるらしい。このDVD買ったよ。話にコクがあって演技もうまいんだけど、一番の取り柄は「月の光」ってピアノ曲が聴けること。びっくりした。こんなことって…。で、思うんだ。今まで見た映画で一番良かったんじゃないかって。結局…うん、そうだ。間違いない。

Ditto. It feels so real, like a real relationship, not like your run-of-the-mill Hollywood cliche love affair with a gradually building climax and a happy triumphant ending. It's up and down, up and down all the way and we're not even sure they'll stay together at the end, but that's okay. Such is life.
