*ONE OF THESE DAYS*I won't have to chop no woodI can be bad or I can be goodI can be any way that I feelOne of these daysMight be a woman that's dressed in blackBe a hobo by the railroad trackI'll be gone like the wayward windOne of these daysOne of these days it will soonBe all over cut and dryAnd I won't have this urgeTo go all bottled up insideOne of these days I'll look backAnd I'll say I left in time'Cause somewhere for meI know there's peace of mindI might someday walk across this landCarrying the Lord's book in my handGoin' across the country singin' loud as I canOne of these daysBut I won't have trouble on my backCuttin' like the Devil with a choppin' axeGot to shake it off my backOne of these daysOne of these days it will soonBe all over cut and dryAnd I won't have this urgeTo go all bottled up insideOne of these days I'll look backAnd I'll say I left in time'Cause somewhere for meI know there's peace of mindThere's gonna be peace of mind for meOne of these daysCREDIT:EMMY LOU HARRIS AND THE NASH RAMBLERS

I'm a lifelong Emmylou acolyte, but I wasn't all that tuned in to the Nash Rambler period. So so wrong; now I see it as a great circling back and deepening of her mastery. Plus she pulled in a lot of new and dedicated listeners. Her music and impact just keep getting richer and richer.

She recorded a song called "The Ballad of Sally Rose." There has always been a rumor that Sally Rose is a tribute to her daughter.

A great Emmylou tune. I hate to approach the physical aspect of Emmylou, it seems somehow sexist and discounts her music....However, I remember this stage of her career she finally went gray, was wearing that fabulous Nudie jacket and was playing the black J-200 with the inlaid rose (by Danny Ferrington-I think) with the Sally Rose strap. All in all she never sounded better (that may not be true she always sounds great) or looked better (that may not be true either---but you get the drift.)

I love Emmylou and I've probably played every version she does of this song on You Tube. I noticed that she wasn't using her regular guitar strap that has her name on it. This one says Sally Rose. Anybody know what that's about?

The Nash Ramblers were awesome - acoustic at it's best.

I cant think of anything I wouldn't do just to have that guitar strap. It doesn't get any better than this.
