I think he was 12 when this was recorded so he would not have been in any high school at the time. Considering he is a native Welsh speaker who learned English just before stating school and then Latin when he became a chorister at 8, don't you think it a bit much for him to master Italian pronunciation and diction by age 12? @amatorynumber Yes it's true Ts and Ds are pronounced too strong, which is not correct in Italian but, all British singers have this problem (except Charlotte Chrch,her Italian was great!) so I find his pronunciation not perfect but good. And he had such a great talent that we can forgive him. Well...Paul Pott has a very bad Italian but not like Sarah Brightman's! :-) PS When I say all British singers I'm not talking about Opera singers but classical or pop crossover ones.
