It would indeed have been Mike Vernon (who later ended up producing two albums for Level 42 in the 80s, but that's another one...). I always wanted a tartan guitar like Joe Jammer was using here! Yon Roland string machine is an absolute museum piece. I finally got hold of all seven Olympic Runners LPs after a long search and this is easily the best track on the LP "Puttin' It On Ya".
