Really nice version. I had no idea ocms did it. I like some of the lyrical differences from ry cooder's version but its a shame they omitted the last verse "and if he feels that all is lost and he is falling, try to place that poor mans feet on solid ground. Just remember, he's some mother's precious darlin'. Always lift him up and never knock him down". Gets me every time

Nice try rich guy. I've worked for a lot of rich people, they're are not as good as poor or working class people. I've only been cheated by the rich because they have a sense of entitlement and know they can get away with it. A working person has never cheated me. Country music is often about class warfare or economic inequality. I'm curious, where do you find the rich volunteering?

As much as I dislike other "country" music from the past few decades, I like these guys. Not just talking about four-wheelers and tractors.

@Becky83436 please don't turn such a great song into class warfare. The rich account for a very large amount of charity and volunteer work. The rich are no greater than the poor. We all owe it to our country to be good neighbors and look out for each other.

This song is great. It reminds me of my father. My new favorite OCMS song.

I have always loved this band. This album ( and especially this song ) has gotten so mature. I've been listening to this song on repeat a lot. It's amazing. It applies to just about everybody's life!
