This is the rare extended version of Oingo Boingo's "Private Life". This version was included only on the first pressings of their album "Nothing To Fear", later pressings included the edited version that is now most commonly known and heard. As far as the differences in this version go, they aren't too significant; the intro is slightly extended, the bridge is extended at parts, and there is an extra repeat of the chorus. Approx. 30 seconds longer than the edited version. Ripped from vinyl.

For entertainment purposes only, please DO NOT REMOVE.

"Private Life" by Oingo Boingo, from their 1982 album "Nothing To Fear".

(C) 1982. A&M Records and Oingo Boingo.

It's too bad this wasn't the album version. As much as I like the edited album/video version, this one definitely has some nuances that suit the rest of Nothing To Fear better. Plus, I love Hatch's bass on this.

Wow. How have I missed this ? Thanks. Many memories involve me buying and selling sodas for folks in line at Magic Mountain for this very band . Thanks for the joints folks ! And the memories . And thanks for the share . (edit - I was already planning on sitting in the back of the place so I didnt care if I lost my place in line, try that nowadays at your own risk )

This sounds different than mine - and I thought mine was pretty good because it came from the pressing with the picture sleeve.

I have a first pressing of the commercial EP (Not the radio de,o... If only) Got it new when I was 14. probably saw OB 30 times... More so at the Hollywood Paladium. This makes me want to go buy a turn table and break out the vinyl.

@rpenk I could upload more from Nothing To Fear, it'll be a while till I get 'em up though. I'll be sure to make the title track one of the first I upload.

Great version! Are you planning on posting any other tracks from Nothing to Fear? I can't seem to find a studio version of the title track anywhere on youtube!
