I don't remember the exact date. But, I saw them at the Golden Bear, I think was was mid 1979. (Likely that show?...I want to say it was May, but it's been a long time.) I had a poster for years that disappeared at some point. But, they were very much billed as the Mystic Knights of the Oingo Boingo at the Bear for the show I attended. I still recall the show as completely weird and wonderful....so amazed to find anything even close to it here to listen to again!

do you know when they (as a group) dropped the "Mystic Knights" moniker? I have the Calender (LA TIMES) section from June of '79 they are listed has have played the Golden Bear as "the Mystic Knights" But your recording suggests they might have moved on from that by then......

In 1979 they were the house band at Madame Wong's Chinatown, I was there weekly..thanks jeff Soohoo whereever you are
