*FOR YOUR LISTENING ENJOYMENT ONLY*

What is the openVAULT you ask? It's quite simple. Music that for lack of a better analogy, has been locked away from the general public. What has happened to the musical landscape is sickening. Far too many artists go largely unnoticed. We are here to change that. To drive the point home, this will not be some "best of" list aka Rolling Stone. No "Stairway", no "Walrus", just music that should be heard. Here at openVAULT you're going to be forced off the beaten path more often than not.

It'll be good for you, trust us.

Every song you will hear is from our private collection, so please NO copying, downloading or reproducing these videos in any form for this is strictly prohibited. You know as in illegal, a no-no. As stated before these tunes are FOR YOUR LISTENING ENJOYMENT ONLY! We won't sell, trade, or give up any mp3s, so if you're here for that purpose please step aside, you're blocking the view of others.

I think the main thing to consider here is that this is criticizing people who went against 80s capitalism, not present capitalism.Back then there weren't banks sending people to the poor house or corporations lobbying the government to buy out the internet. Unfortunately the U.S. to a relatively quick nosedive from prosperous to shithole that even this small gap of time makes a huge difference.80s capitalism was pretty good, and 80s communism/socialism was pretty bad. You also have to consider that the U.S. had a communist enemy at this time.

Elfman has went on record to say his political views are "very left". At the time, this song was serious about "nothing wrong with the capitalism", but nowadays Elfman thinks otherwise, so the song can go both ways really.

Lmao fuck yeah Oingo Boingo. The song is supposed to be a "serious satire" according to him. My guess is that he's making fun of the parties involved in the political debate rather than squashing socialism straight-up.Though, tbh, like most people who have lived in Socialist societies - I personally would hate to see our mixed economy move further from capitalism than it already has. It's a recipe for a bad time.

I can't decide which is worse...this or Devo. Let's give them a tie. But I guess my views are kinda warped...one of my favorite songs is Man in the Box...what does that say about me...

I fucking love the comments here, treating this song as if it were a strong socio-economical look into the (1980's') current American systems. It's a fucking song people, if you're gonna hate the band hate them for their music, not their one song that's about America and stuff.

Oingo Boingo's sound is unique and I am a fan of their style. Though this song is ok if, you consider that he is reflecting the views of the 1% and not his own. That said, I am not supportive of any system that rewards profit and isolates the poor and needy in the global "community".Their is no system that is immune to corruption and manipulation and never will there be, because government systems are just a reflection of the human condition. (we all love someone or something so we all fear because we all can loose what we love and thus we make selfish choices and so selfish systems are thought up and implemented, not to over simplify with a single statement the complexity of this issue but Love is tearing us apart through fear of the inability to save those who are so important to our personal happiness, global consciousness may save us, oh please).I hope my opinion is received with kindness, I present it from my heart.P.S. In Australia we spend about 300,000,000 per week on electricity, could we give our governments cut and the companies profit to those dyeing from the simplest of curable ailments or lack of drinking water, etc. Please if all governments and companies did this for just 1 week, then all we need to worry about is making sure it gets to them and gets used totally for them, no middle man dipping, makes me so sad, GLOBAL CONSCIOUSNESS, hello world!

So many fucking idiots in this comment section, you honestly believe Danny Elfman wrote this song in complete support of capitalism. That it is in no way a satirical song written from the viewpoint of a pro-capitalist who has no idea how the world actually works? oh yeah right because he also wrote "little girls" and THAT'S totally about his being a pedophile, give me a fucking break some of you need to realize how to not take things so literally before you hurt yourselves.
