Well I was out cruisin', getting late and I was losin',

When I saw you walking my way,

So nonchalant, I bet you get what you want,

But so do I and I aint losing today.

Well your hips were swinging and your jeans were clinging,

You were driving me out of my mind,

On a hot afternoon when there's nothing to do,

Your not the sort of thing a fellow should find,

So I pulled on over, tossed your hair off your shoulder,

When you turned and you looked my way,

Oh you would have died or you'd have skinned me alive,

If I'd have said what I wanted to say,

So being polite said what you doin' tonight,

You said just so happens I'm free,

You got all the right curves and all the right words,

And that's alright by me.

Chorus:

Oh Carol you got me eatin' my heart away,

You got me countin' my nights and days,

Oh I am floatin' on the milky way,

Oh Carol nobody's done it before,

Oh baby you've opened the door,

Oh Carol you can do it some more.

Well if you're ready for this when we started to kiss,

She said hold on a minute or two.

Well naturally I knew it couldn't be me,

I said baby what's troublin' you,

She said I'm just sixteen if you know what I mean,

So we sat and we talked for a while,

And when we finally kissed you know she didn't resist,

And I must say she did it with style.

Chorus

Well I was out cruisin', getting late and I was losin',

When I saw you walking my way,

So nonchalant, I bet you get what you want,

But so do I and I aint losing today.

Yes this is 100% live. What you are seeing is what you are hearing. However since this Audio was used for the 'Smokie in Concert' album, the captured audio on the night was later produced in the studio for the album. Thats to say the audio has been polished and balanced in areas but thats all.

I mean, that the one disliker must be Justin Bieber. ;) It was more meant as a joke. Now I forgot that the "Smokie generation" is a lot older than myself, maybe you don't know who it is, but just look up Justin Bieber in Google or Wikipedia and you'll find out who he is. He's a quite irritating artist...

@mebei26 Some choooses rap, some chooses Smokie. I chose the last alternative. I heard Don't Play Your Rock'n'Roll to Me on radio, and I thought that it was great. I looked them up on YouTube. Before that, I've listened to Pink Floyd and Queen - it's TRUE! And I also got interrests such as politics, that makes me different from others in my same age. Best wishes from HateIronMaiden!

@HateIronMaiden " Greetings from HateIronMaiden, populary called "the playback boy", a boy born in 1998 in Norway! :)" --- OH in 1998? so "little" boy!?! How come do you like SMOKIE????? ( with Norman, I mean) - strange-

i'm nearly sure that this must have been in Essen at March 10, 1978. I downloaded an album called " Live [The Concert] Essen, Germany [10 March 1978]." All other places on the internet says that this video, "Glitzerlicht und Hinterhöfe", was from Essen. I also read that it was at March 10 1978. Greetings from HateIronMaiden, populary called "the playback boy", a boy born in 1998 in Norway! :)

@oferf1 I agree with you. I don't know about this is for sale officially, but I think that it must be somewhere you can get "bootlegs" from it. But it's released an audio recording from the same concert (Essen 1978), but it's rare. You're asking about other REAL live performances with Smokie from Norman time? Look up Smokie Live in Warsaw 1976, Smokie Bratislavska Lyra, Bradford Charity Concert, Smokie Bulgaria 1985 or Smokie Frankfurt.

@janimarie "How can you all be so sure about them using playback, as you call it??? I try to watch the videos carefully, but am never as sure as you all. That's sad because I would think it rather boring to perform without actually singing!" You misunderstood the comment; I didn't thought that THIS was playback, but that many other performances was. Even though, it looks like it were most the TV performances that were mimed.

Great performance! Live 1978! They can sing, you see that here, and I don't know why they used so much playbacks. Great live, but wasn't this the performance from Essen? Anyway it's great. Maybe it's Humburg, but the audience is humans, not hamburgers, so I think that's a little strange. OK, they come from other places. I though this was Essen, 'cause it sounds exactly like the Live: The Concert album, which was recorded 1978-03-10. Anyway it's a GREAT video & performance.
