I'm an old man, and I can remember when real music began to die. It wasn't 2011 or 1999. It was the year 1990 and I was in high school. I noticed music becoming more and more simplified beginning in 1990. It was hard for me that year because the new songs coming out that year and beyond started to stink. Not all music after 1989 was bad, only most of it. At least "She and Him" are covering songs worth listening to. They r not very original due to most of their "original songs" could pass for songs from the 50's. I do have much respect for them though and would listen to them now and perhaps years to come. I do find it strange that even the greatest bands of the past are not able to produce any more killer classic songs in this day and age. I guess the golden age of music (50's-80's) is really long gone. There is still some decent stuff out there, but nothing close to what it used to be.

I'd have to agree with Daggan Galakticos this one is pretty shit, lmfao tho cus I stopped giving 2 shit about them after 2010 cus I mean how fucking surprising they started going downhill I mean everything in the world started going downhill and 2011 was the startI mean people stopped caring and made a movie called 2012.LMFAO.the problem is people stopped giving a fuck and thus nobody cares about anything and they just don't have motivation to give 2 shit about anything so everything is shit and it's a vicious cycle.

This kind of music is result of people knowing more about the media machine than about their own hearts or creative needs. That frozen face of hers - I used to think it was  some kind of integrity, protecting herself against false gestures. Now I'm thinking there really isn't anything behind that pretty face. They'll milk the machine and then become Republicans in middle age and talk about bums on food stamps without jobs in the soft fascism of America - the land of false advertising.
