Ofermod is a great band, but serioysly, they've gotta be better at updating themselves with info on gigs, album recording etc, Recent information of the band is almost impossible to find if you don't know them personally.

Does anybody know what Schnittke piece they sampled the intro from? or if it is even Schnittke? I've been scouring over everything I can find by that particular composer and can't seem to identify it.. anybody??

When it was released, in -94 I guess? I had read an interview with the band in -93, Jon Nödveidt was the reporter (ex, Dissection) and became curious. I didnt like that much when I first heard it. I was much more into deathmetal like Entombed, Morbid Angel or Dismember. The album grew on me, and now together with Deathspell Omega "Chainging the Katechon" is my favorite blackmetal album. Best regards, Sandemose

Sounds like they´ve taken music from Alfred Schnittke. Fun, since people should listen more to him, he seems quite popular in black metal cicles. But, dont know about the band. Decent black metal I guess, but Emperors "Nightside Eclipse" is my all time favorite black metal album. Best regards, Sandemose
