When I went to their concert with Volumes and Crown the Empire on May 7th, afterwards, my friend & I sat outside of the fence in front of the tour buses (in hopes of meeting a few band members, which we did haha), and there was this girl there sitting by herself. My friend & I decided to sit with her, considering she was waiting there for the same reason we were. Anyway, she started talking to us about how she is a recovering drug addict. She told us how she saw Of Mice & Men live before but never met Austin. Alan told her, "you know, the band and I, especially Austin, hate seeing our fans struggle. Stay strong." Those few words helped her recover. That night, she met Austin, looked him in the eyes, and said, "Thank you." She started venting to him about everything and cried. He took her head into his chest and let her cry on him while whispering "It'll be okay" in her ear.I almost cried when I saw that.8 years ago
