For the guys debating our influences, every member of the band had their own unique influential style. The two bands we all really had in common as influences were In Flames (pre-Soundtrack to Your Escape) and Amon Amarth, though we tried as hard as we could to avoid sounding similar. I guess it just happened naturally that way...

I wish I could say Insomnium influenced this song. I wrote it in like 2003, and only heard of Insomnium right as we were in the studio recording this. They've since become my favorite band of all time.

2:37 sounds much like Insomnium/as long as artists share their inspirations through originality; then it's cool. The difference is shere copy'ing, but it's a guitar; so eventually you will find something that is going to sound similar/influenced & or inspired or not. *R~
