Oasis - One Way Road (Who Feels Love [Standing on the shoulder of giants], 2000)

Lyrics:

I wanna get high, but I never could take the pain

'cos it would blow away my soul like a hurricane

Like a one man band clapping in the pouring rain

If I know where I'm going, I don't know from where I came

Where we gonna be in summertime?

And are we gonna see the heavens shine

Like diamonds in the sky?

As soon as they come

The feelings they go

All alone, on a one way road

As soon as they come

The feelings they go

All alone, on a one way road

I wanna get high, but I really can't take the pain

'cos it will blow away my soul like a hurricane

I'm like a one man band clapping in the pouring rain

If I know where I'm going, I don't know from where I came

Where we gonna be in summertime?

And are we gonna see the heavens shine

Like diamonds in the sky?

As soon as they come

The feelings they go

All alone, on a one way road

As soon as they come

The feelings they go

All alone, on a one way road

I can hear a bit of Dylan in this one. Amazing track. Cheers Noel. Nice one.

Only Noel (and Prince!) can write a song like this and make it a B-Side. If this song, Lets All Make Believe and As Long as They've ciggarettes in Hell made it onto SOTSOG, they album would have got better reviews. Dont get me wrong, there are some really good songs on there, but there a few songs in the middle like I Can See A Liar and Put Your Money Where your Mouth Is that should have got kicked.

Love this! I think it's one of the saddest songs Noel has ever written. It's a million times better than Little James in my opinion.

What a underrated oasis song, quite brilliant. This is a bloody anthem but even most oasis fans still being ignorant about it.Regards from the land of tequila.

Not even I'm outta Time? Noel is my favourite songwriter ever, but Liam wrote some crackers. The only Oasis song Liam wrote I didn't like was Better Man from Heathen Chemistry.
