Not the worst Oasis song by any means but it's perhaps the clearest singular example of the biggest flaw of the whole album - far too long overblown at over 7 minutes.

The opening sounds really similar to Radiohead's Karma Police. Which, in turn, sounds similar to one of The Beatles' songs, who have ripped off songs themselves.Is it supposed to come full circle somewhere, with a line of plagiarism?

I always felt "Magic Pie" would be 1,000 times better if on the second verse it went back to a mellow synth chord progression like with the first. The song would be much more dynamic on a level like "A Day in the Life" but they just went too blind on the production with this album.
