This version is so far more superior in comparison to the NG version. The NG is pretty badly mixed, sounds auto-tuned and the sped up tempo is not necessarily a positive thing. This version is brilliant. The NG version is kind of meh, it feels like a hoary old chestnut of this version. Also, Liam does better job on the vocals here.

Noel must be confused. He said bits of this were used in Setting Sun by the Chemical Brothers, but that's definitely Coming On Strong, not this one. But I agree with him he came up with a better verse.

I far prefer the NGHFB version, to be honest. This might have been better, but it seems to lack urgency and attack.

I've created a mashup of this demo and Noel's album version, where Noel sings the verses and Liam sings the chorus. If anyone's interested then it's available to view on my channel.Thanks.

I seriously think the final version is much better. The tempo is faster and more aggressive, and the verse is much better.

I prefer the NGHFB lyrics, but Liam absolutely crushes the chorus.

Personally I like Noel's version better but I knew that they had planned to release this year's ago so thought I'd give it a listen, by the way "My sister lover" was a completely different song which was a b-side to the stand by me single.

Noel's new album has a song which he says he wrote in about '92 and never finished, but gave a bit of it to the Chemical Brothers. We know that song was Comin' On Strong, which became Setting Sun, but it's this song's title that appears on Chasing Yesterday. So is his memory dodgy or is the new song going to include bits of Comin' On Strong AND this version of Lock All The Doors? Either way, I like the idea that the new album revisits his past, ties up loose ends and leaves him free to move on (see also Revolution Song, apparently left off Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants because Blur released Tender and he didn't want people to think he got the gospel idea from them).Anyway, I'm pretty excited about the album. Do the Damage is great.
