One of the most hauntingly beautiful hymns/prayers that I have heard, and for a Christmas hymn, already one of my favorites. The shift away from the usual "bright" and "happy" hymns that we hear this season, this song is a somber reminder of how we got into the mess in the first place, for we are truly a fallen race, and the only way to reclaim us was for God to send His own precious Son to save us, as promised through the Scriptures.
