Just another casually awesome guitar solo by Al Andersen.

I saw them at the world, in 1966. That was before they change their name.

@hgmilstead The are not defunct, I just saw Terry Adams and NRBQ at Live at Drew's in north Jersey on June 11th 2011. He is with Pete Donnoly and a couple of others who have been playing with him. The voice is going but the music is still there. It was great!

@clauzikowski Dear clauzikowski, thank you very much for your information! Oh, if I could have been there on this December Day in Hamburg ... "one of the best ..." - indeed!!!

@elrobertoreal I had the big big pleasure to listen to them on 11.12.1987 in Hamburg, where they did their only Germany-Gig at a place called "Logo". Was like a fantastic Jam Session... ;-) "...one of the best bands on this globe" (Hamburger Morgenpost)

Terry's been my favorite pianist since I saw him on SNL way back when. I knew he was special the second he started. Just an amazing band.

Outstanding live band - and I canĀ“t understand why they never played in Austria and Germany the last 40 years (when I am correct informed, they never did). They are as live band better than 95 % of all rock bands who played in Austria and Germany since 1969, indeed!!!

I guess that's Big Al Anderson's no.1 fan ?

best thackin' backbeat, best strollin' walkin' bass in the biz, by far. And oh yeah, the guitar and keys are no slouches either. But it starts from the thwack and stroll. NRBQ = Thack & Stroll baby. Thack and Stroll.

My guess, late 80s, and it sure looks like it could be Toads Place in New Haven, CT where they played quite often.

Whatever happened to Mr Senn? I never got close enough to him to smell his breath, so I have to take your word for it.
