Norma jean *kind of* sounds like botch, but on the whole, they are very different bands. NJ is riff driven, doesn't take their time with lengthy song intros, and their lyrics tend not to have such a political leaning (more of a religious one, though you can't really compare the two). Quite frankly, I think it is offensive when people say NJ sounds like Botch, to both bands. NJ has carved their own path, with a lot more melody in their songs, and the clean vocals kick ass, because they aren't girly like a lot of "metal" bands' clean vocals. On the flipside, no one compares to Botch... ever. No one has truly imitated Botch. There are influences but the line ends there. There will never be a substitute for Botch. End of story, we can all go home now.

faggot. your reviews suck. movie reviewers are already on a thin line, but music is much more subjective. there's no point to your career. i hate you

Idk. I tried listening to them but Compared to The Jeans, The Chariot, or Botch... Converge just kinda seems mediocre. Sorry.
