I was 16 and riding in the back of a '56 Chevy with crazy Richie (from Memphis) driving. His car had a rocking chair for the driver's seat! When this song started on the 8 track player he accelerated sharply and wound up in the back seat with me!! Still can't believe I'm not the same! Oh and when "Magic Carpet Ride" came on we had to stop the car because I thought we were having another accident. Turns out, we had never heard serious fuzz tone guitar before. Hard rock begins!!

@muddyglover=exposed2this heaviosity as a 4 year old? Yow=I was 13&it altered MY DNA!! Talk about being born 2b wild=your mind must've grown another lobe or something. This was LP #1 ever for me, followed by Cream's Disraeli Gears & then Woodstock Soundtrack (courtesy of a record club) & Who's Next (the Who)=what a track record of monster classics (more like we were swimming in a sea of musical greatness...when the rock leviathans roamed the Earth/stage.). I'd better go 'tighten up my combover'!

this is my favourite song of all time and the rest of the album are my 2nd,3rd,4th etc. some of my earliest memories are sitting in the back of the old mans car as a 4 year old ('83) driving through the south of france. we did a similar trip last year-i provided the tunes this time-can you guess what we listened to?
