Nona Hendryx was a member of the 70s Soul/R&B group Labelle who had the hit 'Lady Marmalade'. As a solo artist, her wide range of music spanned from Pop, Funk, R&B, Dance/Club, Hard Rock, and World Music, and she recorded songs for movie soundtracks during the 80s. Her top single as a solo artist, was 'Why Should I Cry', released in 1987. Today, she remains in high demand for musical collaborations, both for her vocals and her songwriting.

This song mixes very well into "Talk To Me" by Stevie Nicks. Beat-wise and key-wise too. Great tunes!!!

Just watched her last week at the Jazz Cafe, Camden, London. I've heard her music, seen her videos, but live she is one of the very best. Soul, rock, you name it, she performs it. She can make the hairs on your neck stand out. Well done Nona, you show 'em how to do it.

As I understand it, Nona and Vicki Wickham have been partners for many years. Leave it to Nona to comeup with a hot, sexy ADULT video. Great talent who has refused to capitulate to the homogenous music business.

@TyjaluvsChaka I miss unique singers. You KNEW Chaka Khan when you heard her, you knew Patti, Nona, Gladys--now everybody sounds the same

@Noodleydoo I agree!!! I love her unique voice!!! She takes what she has & maximizes it's full potential!!! Plus she knows her voice is suited for Rock & Soul explores it to the bust out!!!

@TyjaluvsChaka Hey--Nona is a fantastic singer. She doesn't have Chaka's range, or Patti's for that matter, but in terms of pure vocal firepower, agility and soul, Nona is the real deal. Look up her solo performance of Labelle's "Gypsy Moths" (she performs it with Coati Mundi's band (not sure how that is spelled). She gives Patti a run for her money!

@Simon5005 Wow--you really won this argument! On welfare?

@Noodleydoo Actually, I haven't worked in two years now, and I get along just fine, so you're preaching to the deaf. And you're in the wrong place if you can't handle other people's opinions.

@Simon5005 Excuse me--do you exist on air? No? You need money to survive? Well if the answer is yes, then you are in the same boat as recording artists. The truth is, most artists end up owing their label's' money because they never get "mainstream acceptance." As always, I am stunned by the inability of people these days to grasp that concept. I love Nona's music, but get real.
