the reason i like Nokie [and theVentures] is they have always played songs ..not just a bunch of runs ...also some of their work was way ahead of others ..the rythem on the bridge of the Dick Tracy theme was early U-2 ..the bridge on DIAMOND HEAD was disco 20 years before disco ..and i have never heard any one but Nokie lay down a bass line fuzz on lead to build up an arrangement like on SLAUGHTER ON TENTH AVENUE there are many other innovations too numerous to mention that Nokie did .

Nokie Edwards is a national guitar hero ..he should get the CONGRESSIONAL MEDAL OF FREEDOM ..for his music as an AMBASSADOR to the nation of post war JAPAN ...He has done more for the UNITED STATES being accepted overseas as any one ever in government evr has ..this has been going on for over fifty years ..greatly under rated for the things he has done for this country whether realizing it or not ..ITS A FACT
