This isn't a "right wing" or "conservative" song. It's a song from a real perspective. A lot of liberal movements do think like this whether they want to admit it or not. Conservatives do as well.People from both sides beg the government for "free" (otherwise known as money stolen from the taxpayer) help, whether it's the liberals asking for welfare, or the conservatives asking for bailouts.

It's not satire but you don't need to be conservative to find feminist culture annoying(which is what it's mostly about). Many liberals do. Clearly they are a progressive band and yet annoyed by Gloria Steinem at the same time. They were also fairly young and presumably less politically aware when this song was written. Bigger fish to fry nowadays, you'd think.
